The Nelson Kids

A series of early-reader picture books dreamed up at the kitchen table. The kids pitch the stories, and the grown-ups help them onto the page.

The kids pitch it

Every book starts as a story session at home. The kids bring the adventure, the jokes and the twist.

Made for new readers

Speech-bubble dialogue, simple flat art and lots of white space, so early readers can carry the story themselves.

A real shelf

The first three are printed 7×10 paperbacks, made for the family bookshelf rather than the store.

Three books in print and more in the story session. They aren’t for sale; they’re for reading at bedtime.
