FridgeDoor

The family's kitchen dashboard. A wall-mounted iPad that shows the day's schedule at a glance.

Private build for one household. There’s no public version.

FridgeDoor lives on a permanently mounted iPad in the kitchen. It answers the questions a household asks fifty times a day: what's on today, who needs to be where, and what's for dinner?

  • Calendar first. The day's schedule fills the left column, with bright colours for each family member.
  • Up next. The current or next event, one tap away from directions.
  • Decisions inbox. Conflicts, RSVPs and reminders, ranked so the important ones float up.
  • Kitchen tile. Dinner tonight and the shopping list, with an AI meal planner powered by Claude Haiku.
  • Weather in the masthead with a four-day strip.

It's built for one household, so there's no public version. It's here because it's a favourite build: a warm, bright "family glance" display that replaced a dark command-centre first draft.

The house uses the wall iPad to glance at the day, not to manage it. The redesign leaned into that.
